Important changes to your Medical Records
GP practices across England will be required to supply patients’ personal and confidential medical information, on a regular and continuous basis, to the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC).
Although GP practices cannot object to this information leaving the practice, patients can instruct the practice to prohibit the transfer of their data by opting-out.
If you wish to opt-out please ask reception for a form.
Change to Service
We now offer 3 types of appointment.
SAME DAY: Telephone the surgery on the day you want to be seen and you will be given an appointment with a member of our “On The Day Team”
TELEPHONE CONSULTATION: A doctor will telephone you to give advice & discuss your needs to save you a time-consuming trip to the surgery.
ADVANCE APPOINTMENT: If you want to see a particular person or are looking for continuity in your care, we will arrange for a doctor to telephone you to discuss your needs and organise your appointment.
Out of Hours
For urgent advice after the surgery has closed, during the night and at weekends dial 111 for the Out of Hours Service for Suffolk. Calls to this service are free of charge from both landlines and mobiles.
Specimens need to be dropped in at the reception desk by 12 noon so that we can send the samples off to the laboratories. Please ring for results after 2.30pm when the surgery is less busy.
